Stephanie Slater

I have had a successful career in the health sector, where I manage a large service delivery teams and budgets. I effectively prioritise and delegate an extensive workload.

My core leadership skills are directly transferable to other sectors, and include;

  • people leadership
  • change management
  • customer-focused service delivery
  • working collaboratively across the system towards a set of shared outcomes
  • achieving continuous quality improvements within a financially constrained environment

I have a strong commitment to personal development and have actively developed new skills, such as Prince2 project management.

I have a highly adaptable and innovative approach, am a quick learner, and will bring new ideas to whatever I tackle.

I offer private clinical, professional and management supervision to occupational therapist.

I qualified in 1986 in the UK and have lived in New Zealand from 2012. In New Zealand I have worked and provided supervision in the private, DHB and NGO sectors. My broad knowledge base covers most aspects of practice, except working in paediatrics.

I undertake continued professional development to maintain a quality service. This includes UK level 4 supervision, a certificate in counselling, career coaching, and completion of the Te Rito Course.

My Occupational Board Goals were audited as meeting requirements in May 2021 – see Audit Tool

I have given training throughout my career, including manual handling and supervision. In New Zealand I help develop and deliver Careerforce training on acquired brain injury.
